Hello There My Lovelies,
Today in the mail I received my paralegal certificate. I was shocked that it came so early. The graduation ceremony is next month so now I must blow cash on the cap and gown, and invite friends and family.
So it looks like I may be leaving my internship soon with the Public Defender's Office. I just started volunteering with a new family law clinic last week, and I am waiting to hear about the next meeting. Last week my former teacher was there to coach me through filling out all the Judicial Council forms for a divorce. It was a lot of work, but I could really learn a lot. I hope I hear back from my former teacher soon. While I am looking for a legal job, I should be getting as much legal experience as possible. Especially since the economy is still in the shitter.
I took Family Law last quarter and had to do a divorce for my project, properly referred to as a Dissolution of Marriage. I am glad I got schooled early, as I have learned that marriages are really easy to get into but very difficult to get out of. That class has taught me to be a little smarter about marriage, and how to make sure I keep my ass covered ICSH. ( In Case Shit Happens).

Okay, I snaked this off the Craigslist personals section. Those ads totally make me laugh. Here is the ad du jour. As usual, my translations are in bold letters.
I am a serious amateur photographer who recently acquired a high end professional digital camera. I'm just your average perv with a new camera. I've been having fun taking photos of scenery, but I would like to take photos of a woman. I would like to take pictures of your lady scenery if ya know what I mean ;)I have some skills with Photoshop, so between the great camera and photo editor, I'm able to produce fine photos. For whatever reason, if you would like some very good photos of yourself, I can help you. I am a single white man who owns his own business and home in San Jose. you can be any legal age (over 17)but please 18. You don't need to be beautiful or in great shape because I am an old pervert and I can just use Photoshop if you're ugly. photos on a CD and I will respect your privacy and keep them to myself if you pay me enough. This can be a lot of fun if you really get into it and forget about the old bag behind the camera.

Cinco de Mayo
Hola !!
First of all, thank you all for the comments you left about my grandma. Grandmothers are truly a girl's best friend. One thing I am greatful for is the meaningful conversations I've had with her lately. I got to tell her how special she is to me, and she needs to hear it.
So tomorrow is Cinco de Mayo. I used to live in a Hispanic neighborhood. On that day everyone hung up their huge Mexican flags, broke out the beers and turned up la musica ! One thing I miss about my old neighborhood is the taqueria down the street which was open until 3am. Awesome greasy Mexican food rules.
One thing I don't miss............. obnoxious Banda music that the neighbors turned up. The base alone was enough to drive me up the wall. It would seep through my walls to where my bed would vibrate.
One thing I am trying to do though is go Latin dancing with my friend. I miss doing the salsa, bachata and merengue.

My Grandma
Hello There My Lovelies,
Last Tuesday my grandmother ended up in the hospital. I wish I could write about it, but out of respect for her I really would rather not talk about her condition on my public blog.
We were all scared for her, but now she is healing and should be back home soon and on the road to recovery. I really wanted to make the drive and see her, but when I talked to my grandma over the phone, she said preferred that I didn't see her like that.
Something about my family........ My aunts, uncles and cousins really stepped up to take care of her, look after my grandpa and hold the fort down.
The hospital staff was wonderful when I called. The nurses understood the emotions I was going through and did not try to rush me off the phone. They were open to me visiting and even said that I could spend the night with my grandma if I wanted to. They told me "That's your grandma, I know how it is."
Here in the SF Bay Area, hospitals have strict visitation hours and kick you out after. Plus the nurses are more overworked.
Anyway, I was just happy that so many people love my grandma and that she was well taken care of. She had a lot of people stop in to visit, and a lot of people called, and a lot of people are stepping up to the plate to help her recover. That's all I really want for her.
I really admire my grandma's attitude through all of this. She wants to get back to work as soon as she can. She is almost 89. I hear family members saying that she needs to slow down, and that she needs to stop working, but I respectfully disagree with them. If she wants to work hard, let her work hard. It gives her drive, and it makes her happy. I think I would want to follow the same path.......

Out
Hello There My Lovelies,
Just a quickie post today................
Lately my life has been full of changes, and things just don't seem to settle down for me. But the good thing is that I am always busy.
Because of that and my work schedule, I haven't had much time to go out.
But last nite I did, I got to go out and just chill. On a Friday night, which I haven't done in such a long time. I felt like I was let out of my cage, lol.
I put on my dramatic eye makeup and poofed up my hair and headed for the hookah lounge.
I had a blast. It was fun, and I am completely smoked out. I smoked apricot flavored hookah and I woke up with a sore throat, but I was better after a Ricola.
Today I just slept in until I had to go to work. The week kinda wore me out, and I was too lazy to leave the warm covers and stop watching Bad Reality TV.......... ake Millionaire Matchmaker, lol.
